Cessna 400 Series Aeroplanes

AD/CESSNA 400/16 Elevator Control Bob
Weight Arm - Inspection
10/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 25 September 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, issued in 1971, required inspection of the elevator control bob weight arm for cracking in the vicinity of the weld.  The AD was issued as a result of two reported failures in 1970.  The AD compliance was at intervals not exceeding 100 hours time in service after 1 September 1971.  A review of the SDR system revealed no further defects have been reported.  Therefore, due to no other defects being found, the AD is no longer required.
