AD/Cessna 337/23 Battery Lid Retaining Channel Modification Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/CESSNA 337/23.

Requirement:	CANCELLED.
This AD is cancelled on 8 May 2008.
Background:	This unique Australian airworthiness directive (AD), issued in 1977, required an inspection of the landing gear hydraulic lines for damage caused by electrical arcing in the vicinity of the battery and a modification to insulate the battery lid retaining channel.  The compliance of the AD was within 100 hours after 30 September 1977.  As all aircraft would have now been modified, the unsafe condition no longer exists.
