AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/CESSNA 310/8.

Cessna 310 Series Aeroplanes

AD/CESSNA 310/8 Main Landing Gear Side
Brace Link - Inspection
6/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 5 June 2008.

Background:

This Australian unique airworthiness directive, issued in 1958, required a repeat inspection every 100 hours to check for cracks in the main landing gear side brace link in accordance with Cessna Service Letter 310-34.  This inspection was only applicable to aircraft prior to serial number 35550.  Later aircraft manufactured from early 1957 were fitted with an improved, forged, link.  None of the aircraft registered in Australia are affected by Cessna Service Letter 310-34 and so the AD is no longer required.
