AD/Cessna 310/1 Vertical Angle and Spar Cap Interference Inspection Cancelled (Cth)
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/CESSNA 310/1.
Cessna 310 Series Aeroplanes
| AD/CESSNA 310/1 | Vertical Angle and Spar Cap Interference - Inspection | 6/2008 |
Requirement: | CANCELLED. |
| This AD is cancelled on 5 June 2008. | |
Background: | This Australian unique airworthiness directive, issued in 1956, required a repeat inspection every 25 hours to check for interference between the vertical angles on the fire wall and the top front spar cap in accordance with Cessna Service Letter 310-3. This inspection was only applicable to aircraft prior to serial number 35139 (prior to 1956). None of these aircraft are now registered in Australia, and newer aircraft do not suffer from the problem. Hence, the AD is no longer required. |
