AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/CESSNA 208/5.

Cessna 208 Series Aeroplanes

AD/CESSNA 208/5 Door Lock Pin 10/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 25 September 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, raised in 1989 against Cessna Service Bulletin (SB) No. CAB 89-3, required a modification by replacement of the door lock pins used in the right crew door, right upper passenger door and left upper cargo door with pins of increased strength.

Compliance was within 100 hours TIS after 20 April 1989, or at the next scheduled inspection for maintenance release issue after 20 April 1989 whichever is the later.  As all affected aircraft would have been modified by now, this AD is no longer required.
