AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/CESSNA 206/6.

Cessna 206 Series Aeroplanes

AD/CESSNA 206/6 Fuel System Drain Cock 10/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 25 September 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, raised in 1969 against Rex Aviation Technical Memorandum TM-25 dated 5 March 1969, required removal of an extension that may be fitted between accumulator fuel tank and fuel drain cock.  It was possible for luggage or cargo to depress the cock when and if a cargo pack was fitted.

Compliance was within 100 hours TIS after 1 August 1969.

As all affected aircraft would have been modified by now, this AD is considered to be no longer required.

Delegate of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority
