Ad/Cessna 206/43 Amdt 1 - Battery Vent System - Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/CESSNA 206/43 Amdt 1.

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 25 September 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, raised in 1986 against Soloy Conversions Service Bulletin (SB) No. 06-763, required an inspection of the battery vent system for kinks or blockages and modification to prevent battery explosion resulting from ignition of battery vent gases.

Compliance:  For the inspection within 5 hours TIS after 21 January 1986.  For the modification within 25 hours TIS after 21 January 1986.

As and all affected aircraft would have been inspected and modified by now, this AD is considered to be no longer required.
