AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/CESSNA 205/8 Amdt 1.

Cessna 205 (210-5) Series Aeroplanes

AD/CESSNA 205/8 Amdt 1 Aileron Mass Balance Weight
Attachment Rivets
10/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 25 September 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, raised in 1972, required an inspection for corrosion of rivets attaching the lower aileron skin to the balance weight.  All damaged or corroded rivets were to be replaced.  Compliance was required within 100 hours TIS after 29 September 1972 and thereafter at intervals not exceeding 100 hours TIS.

As published maintenance schedules and normal inspection practices are adequate, this AD is no longer required.
