Ad/Cessna 190/1 Amdt 1 - Landing Gear Bulkhead Assembly - Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/CESSNA 190/1 Amdt 1.

AD/CESSNA 190/1 Amdt 1 Landing Gear Bulkhead Assembly 10/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 25 September 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, originally raised in 1960, required an inspection for cracks of main landing gear bulkhead components following a report by a local operator.  The applicability was for aircraft with more than 2000 hours TTIS with a compliance period at intervals not exceeding 200 hours TIS.  However, the relevant component parts are covered by the inspection and replacement criteria contained in Cessna Service Letter (SL) No. SE73-15 which is the subject of AD/CESSNA 190/4.

This AD is therefore no longer required given that AD/CESSNA 190/4 covers the requirements.
