AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/CESSNA 188/7 Amdt 1.
Cessna 188 (Agwagon) Series Aeroplanes
| AD/CESSNA 188/7 Amdt 1 | Aileron Spar | 8/2008 |
Requirement: | CANCELLED. |
| This AD is cancelled on 31 July 2008. | |
Background: | This unique Australian AD, initially issued in 1968 and later amended in 1979, required inspection of the aileron hinge assemblies at the spar and associated rib attachments in accordance with Rex Aviation Technical Memo TM21. The AD was only applicable to aircraft that had not been modified by the fitment of later part number inboard, centre and outboard hinges, including the fitment of a shim to the centre hinge. The AD required compliance at every 100 hours time in service. Since 1980 no defects have been reported indicating aircraft have been modified. The AD is no longer required. |
