AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/CESSNA 185/42.

Cessna 185 Series Aeroplanes

AD/CESSNA 185/42 Seat Rail Latch 7/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 3 July 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, issued in 1986, required inspection of the pilot and
co-pilot seats, in accordance with Cessna SEB 85-20, to ensure that both seat latch pins fully engage the seat rail and locks the seat securely in position.  The compliance of this AD was within 25 hours time in service after 2 April 1986.  As all aircraft would have been inspected by now, the unsafe condition no longer exists.
