AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/CESSNA 185/23.

Cessna 185 Series Aeroplanes

AD/CESSNA 185/23 Throttle/Mixture Control
Cable Attachment
7/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 3 July 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, issued in 1976, required inspection of the safety wire used to secure the throttle and mixture control cables to the accessory case bracket, in accordance with Cessna Service Letter SL74-20.  The compliance of this AD was within 100 hours time in service after 30 September 1976.  As all aircraft would have been inspected by now, the unsafe condition no longer exists.
