AD/Cessna 180/63 Amdt 1 Fuel Selector Quick Drain Valve Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/CESSNA 180/63 Amdt 1.

AD/CESSNA 180/63 Amdt 1 Fuel Selector Quick Drain Valve 10/2005

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 29 September 2005.

Background:

This directive has been cancelled in response to a CASR 39.006 request for review of the Airworthiness Directive (AD).

AD/CESSNA 180/63 mandated installation of a quick drain facility at the fuel selector valve and made reference to the Rex Aviation Technical Memo TM51.  The referenced document or its subsequent revisions are no longer available.

The requirements of this Directive have been adequately expressed in the manufacturer’s Service Documents.  CAR 42V applies.
