AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes  Airworthiness Directive AD/CESSNA 180/48 Amdt 1.

Cessna 180, 182 and Wren 460 Series Aeroplanes

AD/CESSNA 180/48 Amdt 1 Nose Gear Door 6/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 5 June 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian airworthiness directive (AD), issued in 1982, required inspection of the nose gear door in accordance with Cessna Service Letter SE 78-8 to ensure there is adequate clearance between the nose gear door and the lower cowl skin.  The compliance of this AD was within 25 hours time in service after 2 February 1982.  As all aircraft would have been inspected by now, the unsafe condition no longer exists.
