AD/Cessna 180/39 Fuel Selector Handle Assembly Cancelled (Cth)
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/CESSNA 180/39.
Cessna 180, 182 and Wren 460 Series Aeroplanes
| AD/CESSNA 180/39 | Fuel Selector Handle Assembly | 6/2008 |
Requirement: | CANCELLED. |
| This AD is cancelled on 5 June 2008. | |
Background: | This unique Australian airworthiness directive (AD), issued in 1974, required inspection of the fuel selector valve handle gear assembly in accordance with Cessna Service Letter SE 74-1 to ensure the shaft bushing is installed correctly. The compliance of the AD was within 100 hours time in service after 29 March 1974. As all aircraft would have been inspected by now, the unsafe condition no longer exists. |
