AD/CESSNA 180/2 Right Wing Rear Spar 7/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 3 July 2008.

Background:

This airworthiness directive, issued in 1967, required reinforcement of the right rear wing spar in accordance with Cessna Service Letter 180-8.  This resulted from the discovery of a production tooling mark on the flange of the outboard section of the spar and the possibility of fatigue cracks initiating from the tooling mark.  The compliance of the AD was before 1 September 1971.  As all affected aircraft would have been modified long ago, this AD is no longer required.
