AD/Cessna 150/6 Vertical Fin Cancelled (Cth)
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/CESSNA 150/6.
Cessna 150, F150, 152 & F152 Series Aeroplanes
| AD/CESSNA 150/6 | Vertical Fin | 8/2008 |
Requirement: | CANCELLED. |
| This AD is cancelled on 31 July 2008. | |
Background: | This unique Australian AD, issued in 1961, required modification to the vertical fin by the addition of doublers to the fin spar on early model Cessna 150 in accordance with Cessna service letter 150-21. This was issued after Cessna had received three reports of damage to the vertical fin spar as a result of manoeuvres requiring abrupt rudder deflection at speeds beyond the prescribed limits. The AD required compliance forthwith at the time of issue. As all affected aircraft would have been modified long ago, this AD is no longer required. |
