AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/CESSNA 150/15 Amdt 1.

Cessna 150, F150, 152 & F152 Series Aeroplanes

AD/CESSNA 150/15 Amdt 1 Tailplane Attachment 8/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 31 July 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, issued in 1969, required inspection of the fuselage skin, stiffeners and doublers around the tail plane.  The AD compliance was within 100 hours time in service after 6 June 1969 and then every 200 hundred hours.  A search of the SDR date base revealed one defect reported in 1992.  No other defects have been reported since 1980.  As this type of inspection would be carried out during normal maintenance, this AD is no longer required.
