| AD/BN-2/83 Amdt 1 | Horizontal Stabiliser Attachment Bolts | 10/2005 |
Applicability: | Models BN2, BN2A, BN2B, BN2T, BN2T-4R, and BN2T-4S series islander aircraft. |
Requirement: | Inspect the horizontal stabiliser attachment bolts and anchor nuts in accordance with B-N Group Service Bulletin No. 302 Issue 1 or Issue 2, or later EASA approved revision. Incorporation of B-N Group Ltd Modification NB-M-1787 constitutes terminating action for the requirements of this Directive. Note: UK CAA AD G-2004-0014 R1 refers. |
Compliance: | Unless the initial inspection is already accomplished, within 50 hours time in service or 2 months after 21 July 2004, whichever occurs first, and thereafter at intervals not to exceed 1,000 hours time in service; until incorporation of Mod. NB-M-1787. The compliance times remain unchanged by this issue. |
| This Amendment becomes effective on 29 September 2005. | |
Background: | The manufacturer received several reports of loose horizontal stabiliser attachment bolts. Amendment 1 is issued in response to a revision of the related CAA AD, which introduces terminating action for the repetitive inspections. |
