Pilatus Britten-Norman BN-2 Series Aeroplanes

AD/BN-2/26 Wing Rear Spar - Inspection 13/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 18 December 2008.

Background:

This AD, raised in 1973 against Britten Norman Service Bulletin (SB) No.
BN-2/SB.60, required an inspection for cracks extending from the attachment holes of the fuel contents gauge unit on the rear spar.  Applicability was for aircraft with more than 3,000 flying hours and not incorporating Mod. NB/M/240 (revised fuel gauging).   Compliance was required on receipt of SB and thereafter at intervals of 1,000 hours TIS.

As all affected aircraft would have been inspected and modified by now, and no defects of this nature have been recorded on the mandatory reporting system, this AD is no longer required.
