AD/BN-2/18 Engine Oil Return Pipes Modification Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/BN-2/18.

AD/BN-2/18 Engine Oil Return Pipes - Modification 13/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 18 December 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, raised prior to1972 against Britten Norman Service Bulletin (SB) BN-2/SB.40 issue 2, required a modification to prevent chaffing of engine oil return pipes by securing straps.

Compliance was within 100 hours TIS after 26 February 1971.

As all affected aircraft would have been modified by now, this AD is considered to be no longer required.
