AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/BELL 47/95.

Bell Helicopter Textron 47 (All Variants) Series Helicopters

AD/BELL 47/95 Bogus Main Rotor Blades 2/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 12 February 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, issued in 1989, required a one-off radiographic inspection of the main rotor blade assemblies in accordance with Bell Operations Safety Notice 47-89-8, to ensure the blade assemblies were approved parts.  The AD compliance was prior to 16 August 1989.  As all aircraft would have been inspected by now and the requirements of approved parts are covered by CAR 42W and CASR 21.303, the AD is no longer required.
