AD/Bell 47/79 Amdt 1 Tail Rotor Gearbox Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/BELL 47/79 Amdt 1.

AD/BELL 47/79 Amdt 1 Tail Rotor Gearbox 2/2009

Requirement:	CANCELLED.
This AD is cancelled on 12 February 2009.
Background:	This unique Australian AD, issued in 1977, required a one -time inspection of the tail rotor gear box in accordance with Bell Service Bulletin 47-77-1 to ensure the correct bearing had been installed and the correct bearing journal diameter was correct.  The AD compliance was within 100 hours time in service after 30 April 1977.  As all aircraft would have been inspected by now, the AD is no longer required.
