AD/Bell 47/67 Amdt 1 Engine Oil System Flexible Lines Cancelled (Cth)
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/BELL 47/67 Amdt 1.
Bell Helicopter Textron 47 (All Variants) Series Helicopters
| AD/BELL 47/67 Amdt 1 | Engine Oil System Flexible Lines | 2/2009 |
Requirement: | CANCELLED. |
| This AD is cancelled on 12 February 2009. | |
Background: | This unique Australian AD, issued in 1970, required inspection of the engine oil flexible hoses in accordance with Bell SL No. 47-164 for aircraft used for application of agricultural chemicals. The AD compliance required inspection at every maintenance release. As the spray equipment configuration for this aircraft no longer produces corrosive chemicals near the hoses and the current clamping system also protects the hoses from corrosion, there have been no significant defect reports received since 1980. As a result, this AD is no longer required. |
