AD/Bell 47/31 Lateral Cyclic Torque Tube Safety Washers Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/BELL 47/31.

AD/BELL 47/31 Lateral Cyclic Torque Tube Safety Washers 2/2009

Requirement:	CANCELLED.
This AD is cancelled on 12 February 2009.
Background:	This unique Australian AD, issued in 1961, required installation of a safety washer to each end of the lateral cyclic torque tube on the outer side of the ball bearing.  The AD compliance was forthwith.  As the illustrated parts catalogue now includes a safety washer and all aircraft would have the washer fitted by now, the AD is no longer required.
