AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/BELL 412/2 Amdt 1.

Bell Helicopter Textron 412 Series Helicopters

AD/BELL 412/2 Amdt 1 Retirement Lives - Fatigue Critical Components 13/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 18 December 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, issued in 1987, required replacement of time-lifed components in accordance with the Mandatory Airworthiness Limitations Schedule of the Bell Model 412 Maintenance Manual.  As CAO 100.5 requires mandatory compliance with the Airworthiness Limitations of the Maintenance Manual of all aircraft, the AD is no longer necessary.
