AD/Bell 412/14 Amdt 1 Emergency Flotation System and Squib Valve Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/BELL 412/14 Amdt 1.

AD/BELL 412/14 Amdt 1 Emergency Flotation System
and Squib Valve 4/2009

Requirement:	CANCELLED.
This AD is cancelled on 9 April 2009.
Background:	This AD, issued in 1987, required replacement of the squib valve in accordance with Bell ASB No. 412-87-29 Rev. A. to prevent cracking of the valve housing in the Emergency Flotation Squib Valve Assembly.  The AD compliance was within 500 hours time in service 7 May 1987 or before 31 July 1987, whichever occurs first.  As all aircraft would have been modified by now, the AD is no longer required.
