AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/BELL 412/14 Amdt 1.

Bell Helicopter Textron 412 Series Helicopters

AD/BELL 412/14 Amdt 1 Emergency Flotation System
and Squib Valve
4/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 9 April 2009.

Background:

This AD, issued in 1987, required replacement of the squib valve in accordance with Bell ASB No. 412-87-29 Rev. A. to prevent cracking of the valve housing in the Emergency Flotation Squib Valve Assembly.  The AD compliance was within 500 hours time in service 7 May 1987 or before 31 July 1987, whichever occurs first.  As all aircraft would have been modified by now, the AD is no longer required.
