AD/BELL 212/22 Tail Rotor Drive Shaft - Replacement 4/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 9 April 2009.

Background:

This AD, issued in 1978, required installation of an improved tail rotor drive shaft in accordance with Bell ASB No. 212-78-7 to avoid the drive shaft contacting the tail boom structure at critical speed.  The AD compliance was within 200 hours time in service after 30 September 1978.  As all aircraft would be modified by now, the AD is no longer required.
