AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/BELL 212/11.

Bell Helicopter Textron 212 Series Helicopters

AD/BELL 212/11 Fire Detection System - Audible Warning 7/2006 TX

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 3 May 2006.

Background:

CASA design rules per CAO part 101.10 and appendix 101.1.3.1 that supported the AD/BELL 212/11 requirements have been cancelled. Civil Aviation Regulations 1998 part 21.029 now require automatic acceptance of aircraft Type Certificated by USA FAA, with no Australian unique design requirements.

No replacement AD will be issued, as the original unsafe condition is addressed by FAR part 29 design rules.
