AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/BELL 206/97 Amdt 2.

Bell Helicopter Textron Canada (BHTC) 206 and Agusta Bell 206 Series Helicopters

AD/BELL 206/97 Amdt 2 Quick Disconnect Dual Controls 11/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 23 October 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, issued in 1985, required installing a spring pin assembly on the co-pilot cyclic stick and the co-pilot collective stick in accordance with Bell Alert Service Bulletin 206L-85-33 to ensure positive engagement of both control sticks.  The AD compliance was within 100 hours time in service after
30 September 1985.  As all aircraft would have been modified by now, the AD is no longer required.

Delegate of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority
