AD/Bell 206/88 Battery Relay Diode Assembly P/N 30-037-13 Replacement Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/BELL 206/88.

Requirement:	CANCELLED.
This AD is cancelled on 23 October 2008.
Background:	This unique Australian AD, issued in 1981, required replacement of the battery relay suppression diode in accordance with Bell Alert Service Bulletin 206L-81-18 Rev A to prevent failures which have caused burned wire and smoke.  The AD compliance was within 100 hours time in service after 30 June 1981.  As all aircraft would have replaced the diodes by now, the AD is no longer required.
