AD/BELL 206/60 Amdt 1 Flight Control System Bolts - Inspection
and Replacement
11/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 23 October 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, issued in 1974, required inspection and later replacement of the cyclic and collective control system attaching bolts in accordance with Bell Alert Service Bulletins 206-04-2-74-1 as a result of NAS1305-18D bolt failures found during routine inspection.  These bolts had failed as a result of hydrogen embrittlement.  The AD compliance required daily inspection until new bolts were installed no later than 30 July 1974.  As all aircraft would have the bolts replaced by now, the AD is no longer required.
