| AD/BELL 206/54 | Tail Rotor Gearbox Assembly - Inspection | 11/2008 |
Requirement: | CANCELLED. |
| This AD is cancelled on 23 October 2008. | |
Background: | This unique Australian AD, issued in 1973, required a one time inspection of the tail rotor gear box assembly in accordance with Bell Alert Service Bulletin 206-04-73-1 to ensure that the tail rotor shaft retaining nut cotter pin is properly installed. The AD compliance was within 100 hours time in service after 31 October 1973. As all aircraft would have been inspected by now, the AD is no longer required. |
