AD/Bell 206/31 Main Transmission Modification Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/BELL 206/31.

Bell Helicopter Textron Canada (BHTC) 206 and Agusta Bell 206 Series Helicopters

AD/BELL 206/31 Main Transmission - Modification 11/2008

Requirement:	CANCELLED.
This AD is cancelled on 23 October 2008.
Background:	This unique Australian AD, issued in 1970, required modification of the main transmission in accordance with Bell Alert Service Bulletin 206A-17.  The AD compliance was at the next overhaul after 31 December 1970.  As all aircraft would have been modified by now and these modifications are now listed as mandatory in the Maintenance and Overhaul Manual, the AD is no longer required.
