AD/BELL 206/25 Tail Rotor Balance Check and Tail Rotor Gearbox Casing and Mounting Inspection 11/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 23 October 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, issued in 1970, required a one off inspection of the tail rotor gear box case and its mounting surface on the tail boom in accordance with Bell Service Letter 206A-15 to determine if the tail rotor hub and blade assembly was in balance, if there was evidence of a crack in the gear box case and if mating surfaces of gear box to tail boom were within limits.  The AD compliance was within 100 hours time in service after 31 July 1970.  As all aircraft would have been inspected by now, the AD is no longer required.
