AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/BEECH 95/27 Amdt 1.

Beechcraft 95 (Travelair) Series Aeroplanes

AD/BEECH 95/27 Amdt 1 Sponge Filled Fuel Reservoir Tanks 8/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 31 July 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, raised in 1986 against Beechcraft Service Bulletin (SB) 2109, required inspection and removal of the foam material in the fuel cell reservoir assembly.

Compliance was within 25 hours TIS after 31 July 1985 and thereafter as directed in the "Compliance" section of SB 2109.  The compliance section of the SB required inspection every 50 hours of operation until the next schedule inspection, at which time the foam material in the fuel cell reservoir assembly must be replaced.

As all affected aircraft would have had any foam deterioration detected and replaced, or complied with this AD by now, it is considered that the unsafe condition no longer exists.
