AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/BEECH 77/15 Amdt 1.

Beechcraft 77 (Skipper) Series Aeroplanes

AD/BEECH 77/15 Amdt 1 Alternator System 7/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 3 July 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, originally raised in 1987 against Beechcraft Service Bulletin (SB) No. 2201, Rev 1, required the removal of the reverse current diode from the alternator system as considered unnecessary after reports of diode overheat causing smoke in the cockpit.

Compliance was within 100 hours TIS after 19 May 1988 or at the next scheduled inspection for Maintenance Release issue whichever is the earlier.

As all affected aircraft would have been modified by now, it is considered that the AD is no longer required.
