AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/BEECH 76/17.

Beechcraft 76 (Duchess) Series Aeroplanes

AD/BEECH 76/17 Wing Lower and Upper Splice
Plate Bolt Installation
7/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 3 July 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, raised in 1985 against Beechcraft Service Bulletin (SB) No. 2038, required installation of additional washers to wing lower splice plate bolts to prevent the bolt threads bottoming out and causing progressive joint wear.

Compliance was within 100 hours TIS after 31 October 1985, or at the next scheduled inspection for Maintenance Release issue after 31 October 1985, whichever was the later.  As all affected aircraft would have been inspected, and, if necessary, modified long ago, this AD is no longer required.
