AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/BEECH 76/1.

Beechcraft 76 (Duchess) Series Aeroplanes

AD/BEECH 76/1 Control Bearing Assemblies 7/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 3 July 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, raised in 1979 against Beechcraft Service Instruction (SI) No. 1017, required inspection of the control column bearing assemblies for indications of filing or grinding in the weld area.

Compliance was within 100 hours TIS after 1 May 1979.

As all affected aircraft would have been inspected by now, it is considered that the AD is no longer required.
