AD/BEECH 65/9 Automatic Pilot Shutoff Valves Installation Cancelled (Cth)
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/BEECH 65/9.
Beechcraft 65 and 70 (Queen Air) Series Aeroplanes
| AD/BEECH 65/9 | Automatic Pilot Shutoff Valves - Installation | 7/2008 |
Requirement: | CANCELLED. |
| This AD is cancelled on 3 July 2008. | |
Background: | This unique Australian AD, raised in 1967 against Beechcraft Service Bulletin (SB) No.66-4, required a modification to the air supply to the autopilot by installing a shutoff valve, for the purpose of preventing air in the pneumatic system from activating a defective autopilot servo. Compliance was before 1 November 1967. As all affected aircraft would have been modified by now, it is considered that the AD is no longer required. |
