AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/BEECH 65/7 Amdt 1.

Beechcraft 65 and 70 (Queen Air) Series Aeroplanes

AD/BEECH 65/7 Amdt 1 Landing Gear Chain and
Torque Shaft - Inspection
7/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 3 July 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, raised in 1967 against Beechcraft Service Bulletin (SB) No.67-1, required a one-off inspection of the landing gear chain tension and torque to ensure proper operation of the landing gear retract mechanism.

Compliance was within 25 hours TIS after 15 March 1967.

As all affected aircraft would be in compliance with this AD by now, it is considered that the AD is no longer required.
