AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/BEECH 65/54 Amdt 2.

Beechcraft 65 and 70 (Queen Air) Series Aeroplanes

AD/BEECH 65/54 Amdt 2 Aft and Nose Hinged Baggage
Door Latching
7/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 3 July 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, originally issued in 1980, required provision of a more effective bell crank stop for the hinged baggage door latch mechanism, to prevent the possibility either the forward or aft baggage doors opening in-flight.  The AD called out Beechcraft Service Instruction (SI) No.1126 Rev 1.

Compliance with the AD was within 100 hours time in service after 31 July 1980.  As all affected aircraft would have been modified long ago, this AD is no longer required.
