AD/BEECH 65/16 Amdt 1 Engine Mount Bolt Nuts Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/BEECH 65/16 Amdt 1.

AD/BEECH 65/16 Amdt 1 Engine Mount Bolt Nuts 6/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 5 June 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, issued in 1970 required a one-off inspection to determine that non-ferrous nuts had not been inadvertently installed in place of steel nuts on engine mount bolts in accordance with Beechcraft Service Instruction (SI) No.
0396-241, rather than a State of Design AD.  Compliance was within 25 hours TIS after 21 August 1970.

As all affected aircraft would have been inspected, and, if necessary, modified long ago, this AD is no longer required.
