AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/BEECH 65/13.

Beechcraft 65 and 70 (Queen Air) Series Aeroplanes

AD/BEECH 65/13 Starter and Battery Relay
Covers - Installation
7/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 3 July 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD was raised in 1969 against Beechcraft Service Instruction (SI) No. 0135-355 Rev 1, rather than a State of Design AD, that required installation of starter and battery relay covers to prevent them from becoming contaminated by engine oil.

Compliance was within 100 hours TIS after 24 October 1969.

Given the extended period this AD has been promulgated, and that a State of Design AD has not been published, it is considered that continued publication of this AD to be no longer necessary.
