Beechcraft 65 and 70 (Queen Air) Series Aeroplanes

AD/BEECH 65/1 Rudder Torque Tube Lowering
Fitting - Inspection
6/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 5 June 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian airworthiness directive (AD) was originally raised in 1964 against manufacturer's Service Letter (SL) No. 64-6.  The SL recommended a visual inspection of the lower fitting (casting) of the rudder torque tube to detect any fractures or circumferential separation between the radially located rivet holes.  Compliance was at intervals not exceeding 100 hours TIS after 2 April 1964.

As the requirements of this AD are covered by the manufacturer’s maintenance manual, Schedule 5 and normal maintenance practice, this AD is no longer required.
