AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/BEECH 55/7.

Beechcraft 55, 58 and 95-55 (Baron) Series Aeroplanes

AD/BEECH 55/7 Grounding Outside Air
Temperature Indicator
6/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 5 June 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD issued in 1967 against Beechcraft Service Bulletin (SB) No. 66-26, rather than a State of Design AD, required grounding the AOT indicator with metallic tape to eliminate the possibility of static electricity accumulation causing a spark discharge to the magnetic compass.

Compliance was before 1 September 1971.

As all affected aircraft would have complied with this AD by now, it is considered that an unsafe condition no longer exists.
