AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/BEECH 55/37 Amdt 1.

Beechcraft 55, 58 and 95-55 (Baron) Series Aeroplanes

AD/BEECH 55/37 Amdt 1 Fuel Line Chafing 6/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 5 June 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, originally issued in 1973, required an inspection of the fuel supply lines in the engine  nacelles for possible chafing against other plumbing lines, and to secure and/or replace in accordance with Beechcraft Service Instruction (SI) No.0602-282, Rev.1, rather than a State of Design AD.  A minor amendment was issued in 1978 to reflect revision 1 of the Beechcraft SI.  Compliance was originally within 100 hours TIS after 31 December 1973 and subsequently amended to within 100 hours TIS after 31 December 1978.

As all affected aircraft would have complied with this AD by now, it is considered that an unsafe condition no longer exists.
