AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/BEECH 55/35.

Beechcraft 55, 58 and 95-55 (Baron) Series Aeroplanes

AD/BEECH 55/35 Internally Lighted Altimeter 6/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 5 June 2008.

Background:

This AD was originally issued in 1973 against Beechcraft Executive Airplane Safety Communiqué No. 33/35/55/58-21 dated 26 July 1973, applicable to internally lighted altimeters supplied as spares ex Beech Wichita between September 1972 and August 1973.  A minor applicability amendment was made in 1975.  Compliance with the inspection was before further flight and replacement within 50 hours TIS after
17 October 1973.

As all applicable altimeters should have been replaced by now, and no State of Design AD is presently published, it is considered that the unsafe condition no longer exists.
