AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/BEECH 55/31.

Beechcraft 55, 58 and 95-55 (Baron) Series Aeroplanes

AD/BEECH 55/31 Fuel Vent System 6/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 5 June 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, raised in 1973, issued against Part II of Beechcraft Service Instruction (SI) No. 0568-28, rather than a State of Design AD, required inspection of fuel system vent hose clamps for tape wrapping under the clamps, and replacement of the hoses with larger diameter hoses if tape wrapping found.

Compliance was within 100 hours TIS after 31 July 1973, and no State of Design AD is current.

As all affected aircraft would have complied with this AD by now, it is considered that the unsafe condition no longer exists.
