AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/BEECH 55/30 Amdt 1.

Beechcraft 55, 58 and 95-55 (Baron) Series Aeroplanes

AD/BEECH 55/30 Amdt 1 First and Second Row Seats 6/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 5 June 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, issued in 1973, required a one-off inspection of the rear attachment rails of the second row seats for Beechcraft 95-55 and 55 series aeroplanes, and the rear attachment rails of the first and second row seats for Beechcraft 58 series aeroplanes to ensure the presence of stops at the forward ends.  This requirement was initiated following a fatal accident where the second row seats slid off the forward ends of the rear rails.

Compliance was before 31 July 1973.

As all affected aircraft would have been inspected, and, if necessary, modified long ago, this AD is no longer required.
